Your photos stay on your phone
Curtain uses your camera to take photos, and it builds your photo strips and videos on your iPhone. Curtain doesn't send anything over the internet, and we never receive your photos, strips or videos. They leave the app only if you choose to save them to your photo library or share them through your iPhone's share sheet. To save, Curtain asks for permission to add items to your photo library; it can't see or read your existing photos. Once you share something, the app or person you shared it with controls it under their own policies. Saved items may sync through Apple Photos and iCloud if you've turned that on.
No accounts, no ads, no data collection
Curtain has no accounts, no in-app purchases, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't collect your name, email address, contacts, location or any usage data. Camera access is used only to take your photos, and you can turn camera or photo access off anytime in iPhone Settings.
Purchases and ratings
You buy Curtain through Apple. Apple handles payment, and we don't receive your payment details. Curtain may show Apple's standard prompt asking you to rate the app; Apple handles that prompt and any rating you leave.
Links in the app
The Settings screen has links to this policy, our website and an email address. Tapping one opens Safari or your mail app, which follow their own policies. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Children
Curtain is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
We don't hold any personal information about you through the app, so there's nothing for us to access, delete or sell. California and other state residents can contact us with any privacy question.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above, and we'll make any important change clear in the app or on this page.
